Long time no talk.
My apologies to anyone out there who considers themselves 'a fan' of my efforts, but unless and until something else comes along to rattle my cage enough I consider myself off this ignorance merry-go-round.
The common run of the mill fear porn still afoot is just so laughable to me I can't even bring myself to seriously address it. What I think people in general are slow to understand is that it is this repetition of baseless claims and concerns that actually drives the problems people fear. I won't waste time explaining that. As an individual, you either understand why this is so or you do not, and if you do then chances are you belong to what is commonly called the 'silent majority'.
I have gone back to being mostly silent. I have said all that I ever wanted to say on a great many topics. Looking back on five years of that sometimes my own dated opinions makes me cringe and other times they don't. Overall, this foray into activism certainly has taught me a great deal, and I did my best to teach you and others as many of those lessons as I could, but there is one thing that just cannot be taught and that is wisdom. You get that over time, and at some great cost.
In my case, I also met some other wise men along the way. I would count my friend Dave Case among them. For those that recall, some time ago when I found Dave I was exploring all sorts of nefarious topics that were either directly or tangentially connected to smart meters. Without getting into all of that now I will just say I have no good opinions about these devices. Maybe they do this, maybe they do that. They definitely DO NOT do nothing. The take away that remains with me after going down all those rabbit holes is that they were designed by assholes to commits crimes, cause random damage, personal harm and further mischief of all sorts.
When it comes to smart meter technology, Dave figured out how some of that was being accomplished through these meters and came up with a way to disable the manner in which this mischief was being perpetrated. He created a simple filtering device that is cleverly hidden in a common power strip and even explained how to make them, so there are no secrets here. Everyone can see what the thing is, how it works and all of that.
There is no need to buy these filters from him but not everyone is up to the task of breaking out a soldering iron and whipping up gear that can be scary to some folks and even a bit dangerous if done wrong, so for those that prefer to leave the manufacture of electronics gear to those qualified to build it Dave is willing to help.
I support this effort because I am one of those people. Dave made a pair of these filters for me and I field tested them in my own house and will vouch for the product. They do work as advertised. When installed as directed (simple instructions) they filter all dirty electrical signal above and below 60Hz. That prevents all the harmful effects I am aware of that are attributed to smart meters and you can read all about that in my original post from last year:

I enjoy getting lost in books written by wiser men than I, and that’s where Dave and I are now. I am reading and decoding and Dave is tinkering and inventing and if all goes well you will be hearing about us again because we are working on something rather impressive. It is something that you would not expect either of us to be capable of, but that is what is impressive about it… (We are.)
