Ever feel pressured to be on facebook? Everyone just loves facebook, ain’t it great? Just express yourself there and go public with your life because popularity is great.

Now adults are acting like kids on this stupid thing, all trying to conform, all overly concerned with how they look and what people say about them and what their ‘status’ is.
C’mon people. You can disguise this all sorts of ways and hide behind the defense that facebook is a requirement for building a network or finding a mate or promoting your business.
Well, I suppose that’s one way to do things. But what is it really that you are doing?
Let me offer another perspective. You are also sticking your neck out on a chopping block just begging for attention. LIKE A KID IN HIGH SCHOOL! Except now you see some people getting the wrong kind of attention. Like this:

Seriously, does anyone recall Hitler? WWII? The Gestapo?
Oh these are stupid things that go on across the Atlantic, not here, you say?
Just wait. Those last three things reached over here right quick. These countries are feeling out what works. Testing how useful these social networks are for tagging you as a threat of some sort. And each year the noose gets tighter over here with people being banned from their PRECIOUS for voicing something on their mind. If they can jail your avatar how long will it be before they jail YOU?
Some are being added to secret watch lists, or covertly investigated and a few are OVERTLY investigated. No don’t say [gasp] that. You are instantly racist, or a terrorist, or an ‘extremist’. They just love that one. Extreme what? Extremely FREE?
But it’s a curious thing how selective this process is and how it never seems to snare the wingnut that lights up a public place with a firearm. This is the slow creep of TYRANNY! And it won’t be long before your mouth will land you in a camp with one of those classifications on the front door. Everyone sign up for Facebook. Then… Everyone hold up your sign!
