An excerpt from "The Active Side of Infinity” by Carlos Castaneda
“’Ah, that’s the universe at large,’ don Juan said, ‘incommensurable, non-linear, outside the realm of syntax. The sorcerers of ancient Mexico were the first ones to see these fleeting shadows, so they followed them around. They saw them as you’re seeing them, and they saw them as energy that flows in the universe. And they did discover something transcendental.
They discovered that we have a companion for life. We have a predator that came from the depth of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are their prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we were to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so.
[…] Indeed we are held prisoner! This was an energetic fact for the sorcerers of ancient Mexico.’
[…] ‘There is an explanation,’ don Juan replied,’ which is the simplest explanation in the world. They took over because we are food for them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. Just as we rear chicken in chicken coops, the predators rear us in human coops. Therefore, their food is always available to them.’
‘No, no, no, no,’ I heard myself saying. ‘This is absurd, don Juan. What you’re saying is something monstrous. It simply can’t be true, for sorcerers or for average man, or for anyone.’
‘Why not?’ don Juan asked calmly. ‘Why not? Because it infuriates you?”
‘Yes, it infuriates me,’ I retorted. ‘Those claims are monstrous!’
‘I want to appeal to your analytical mind,’ don Juan said. ‘Think for a moment, and tell me how you would explain the contradiction between the intelligence of man the engineer and the stupidity of his systems of beliefs, or the stupidity of his contradictory behavior.
Sorcerers believe that predators have given us our systems of beliefs, or ideas of good and evil, or social mores. They were the ones who set up our hopes and expectations and dreams of success and failure. They have given us covetousness, greed and cowardice. It is the predators who make us complacent, routinary, and egomaniacal.’
‘But how can they do this, don Juan?’ I asked, somewhat angered further by what he was saying. ‘Do they whisper all that in our ears while we are asleep?’
‘No, they don’t do it that way. That’s idiotic!’ don Juan said, smiling. ‘They are infinitely more efficient and organized than that. In order to keep us obedient and meek and weak, the predators engaged themselves in a stupendous maneuver—stupendous of course from the point of view of a fighting strategist. A horrendous maneuver from the point of view of those who suffer it. They gave us their mind. Do you hear me? They gave us their mind, which becomes our mind. The predators’ mind is baroque, contradictory, morose, filled with the fear of being discovered any minute now.
I know that even though you have never suffered hunger… you have food anxiety, which is none other than the anxiety of the predator who fears that any moment now its maneuver is going to be uncovered and food is going to be denied. Through their mind, which, after all, is their mind, the predators inject into the lives of human beings whatever is convenient for them. And they ensure, in this manner, a degree of security to act as a buffer against their fear.’”

don Juan knew, all too well, the true nature of Good and Evil.
As long as we have to deal with duality, we need a strong ego, so we can use our intuition and stand by what we know is right. People with weak egos constantly change their minds when outside pressure becomes too strong for them.
Take as an example a prisoner, who has been in jail for let’s say thirty-five years of his life—how does he feel when he finally is free to leave the prison? Well, for some, freedom will be too overwhelming and they can’t handle it. Hence, he quickly commits a new crime for one purpose only—to get caught and be put back in prison where he feels much safer, because that’s the reality he’s been accustomed to.
If another option were available to him—let’s say to gradually getting used to the freedom outside the prison walls—he would have a greater chance to succeed. If so, freedom would perhaps make him feel happy and relieved!
We are all part of a massive operation today, and like good soldiers we are expected to carryout our orders at each stage without question. For the good soldier, the end goals of any war are a matter of faith. And along the way he watches each battle commence and conclude. While enlisted, (or conscripted), a good soldier does not concern himself with anything other than the conflict at hand and when it is over, he knows to expect another. A new mass event is going to happen, and it will be staged, of course.
From the end of the 1960s, when Charles Manson shocked the world out of the hippie movement, until 9/11, there has been a chain of events that has shocked the population and traumatized it. Here in the western world, we look at 9/11 as a big, terrible event. I’m certainly not saying that it wasn’t terrible and shocking, but it did not traumatize the entire world—only the western hemisphere, more or less. Now, one can argue for days about who was responsible for that, but put all those debates to off to one side for now.
The important thing to consider here is the larger pattern of events that cause trauma.
What happens when a negative mass event such as 9/11, or larger, occurs is that when people get overly shocked and traumatized by the incident. This common reality pulls people into the same mindset. Covid was a chance to do something that would affect, more or less, the entire world population. What if incidents such as 9/11 were just tests and preparations for something bigger? Maybe what was desired by certain people was to see how exactly that would affect the human psyche, so that they know how far they can stretch it in a future event, or an even more ambitious event.
Immediately following the attack on New York we saw a series of mass shooting and bombing events in most major countries and these things clogged up the news feeds to occupy our attention for months at a time, and when the woven tapestry surrounding one event became threadbare another event took center stage, and each one further traumatized the population of the country that hosted it. Cumulatively however, the impact was spread around by the mass media such that it became clear the effect was that everyone, regardless of where they were, could not help but fell a bit threatened, because the assumption being peddled each time something terrible happened was that this sort of thing COULD happen anywhere, even where you were. All this to say, the pattern I am speaking of is one of violent and abusive, mentally draining threats coming from all directions that are escalating in size and scope. Now, the most ambitious mass event yet is well underway.
All that came before was practice for something that would traumatize the entire world, and we see that, clearly now, its covid and everything that follows from it. I don’t want to instigate fear in people, but even as we try to manage all the destructive effects of this giant pandemic hoax, and it is a hoax, I am constantly hearing warnings of more traumatizing events still to come. There are stories of viral variants, and electrical power grid hacks, and other cyber threats. We may run out of food, or water. The internet may go down, the Chinese may invade, we may be put under martial law and driven into FEMA camps, the sun may explode, an asteroid may fall, etc... There is even a sudden uptick of UFO news in the mainstream press, because you cant get much bigger than covid hysteria, which makes us afraid of nature, without involving all of outer space and instilling fear in people of whatever might be incoming from there, and there is also a chance such an event won’t happen, but if it did, it would in many ways benefit the people that now seek to control every aspect of our lives, because that quest for even more power is really an unquenchable thirst. I don't expect it to ever stop really, unless we can look at every new scenario these people can dream up and just laugh at it instead of reacting with a new level of fear and panic.
With a sufficiently traumatized population, couldn’t these predatory tyrants we have lording over us easily come up with the ultimate solution, which is a One World Government and a One World Leader? Wouldn’t that be the perfect opportunity for such a thing? Some of them have even said as much and while such comments should be evidence enough for anyone, the smoking gun so to speak, they have barely been noticed. We now have the entire population of the world, who are now soundly terrorized, and they are all waiting for a solution to come from somewhere. At this point, perhaps people don’t care from where the solution comes, as long as things are taken care of. Very few people would scrutinize this World Leader, and those who did would hardly get listened to, because in a situation such as that, most people wouldn’t want to hear from the naysayers. If they listened to the whistle-blowers, it would mean that the solution would not come, and people wouldn’t want to wait any longer for another solution to show up—not if they suffered.
Sure, right now we see a lot of censorship and an impressive number of 'fact' checking sources which are not really exposing lies. Quite the opposite. They are thought police enforcing scripted narratives, and if you just test them you will see that, because its beyond ridiculous at times just how fast the correction follows anyone daring to ask a reasonable question. So, we are close to reaching this fever pitch, this manufactured fear quotient, and when we do our 'leaders' won’t even have to silence the whistle-blowers—out of fear, the general public would silence them by their own means. And we are currently seeing a fair bit of that, and because we are seeing total strangers morph into thought police before our eyes, the evidence is all around us that the larger pattern I speak of, the one I want you to take notice of, the direction of this social tide, is moving us is, is into a perpetual mindset of fear that is paralyzing to average people, who can't shake it off very easily without giving up some other personal security blanket they cloak themselves in during times of stress.
Because I can see past the noise I am not paralyzed by all this, and because this mobility gives me abilities, and 'privileges' you think good soldiers should not be allowed to enjoy, like the freedom to ignore orders, and do and say what I choose, people traumatized by all these constantly unfolding dramas feel better if I wasn't showing off quite so much.
We'll, I am sorry to disappoint anyone that feels this way, because I have no intention of stopping. In fact, I am only going to aggravate such people more as time goes on.
In closing here I will also share one other important secret, and this one is really going to make you feel much better than silencing me, which I assure you is a futile effort. You can JOIN ME! That's right, you can do this as well, and yeah you will find yourself a member of an small and elite club for a while. You will have lots of enemies at first, but they can't harm us.
We are like special forces rangers, and we dodge bullets. We all know karate, and we can blend in and be invisible when we need to be, but we can also materialize out of thin air and attack, or defend, and since the mentally lazy people out their facilitating all this nonsense come pre-conditioned by fear to kneel at the feet of any authority all we need to do is project that same confidence their overlords drip with and we can run the show in any room we stand in. I do it all the time.
That's the trick you know. And if you doubt how well it works, just look around.
I want to be free. We all do. But a lot of folks comply with tyranny because tyrannical demands are always coupled with the promise of future freedom. But when I see that, when I get their offer, I simply say...
