Did you notice recently another well worn tactic being used by the Clinton folks yet again? I don’t know if this play has an official name but since we need one here I will call this move “The Good News Day”
If you are just tuning in (to anything?) we have been watching the same events occur over and over for several decades now with the same predictable results, which is why they are employed, but at the same time the usual mechanisms we have used and relied upon over those same years have been replaced with new ones and new versions of old ones so the publics bullshit detectors have been intentionally weakened. The result of this is it now requires a certain amount of effort to break out of the habits we have been given to see this clearly. One of the reasons I post rants here is to save some of you the time you feel you don’t have to point out what should be obvious if you did more than listen to ‘news’
What happened the other day?
Clinton gave her foreign policy speech to remain relevant in the face of Trump opposition which has made a statement of intent publically about foreign policy. This speech had a LOT of build up didn’t it? Everywhere the hype was palpable. Mainstream reporting speculated on this event from every angle imaginable to drown out everything else and this was done to alert the agenteur that they would soon be called upon to contribute to whatever momentum her propaganda could generate.
So then we had the speech and it was typical Clinton misdirection in which the subject of this address was to use foreign policy as an excuse to malign Trump in every way that has had any traction in the sheeple polls. She didn’t actually say much at all about what she planned to actually do in office.
Again, this is something we have grown accustomed to. The usual suspects talk, they leave doors open, they commit to nothing and then later they do whatever serves their interests, minimizing wherever possible, in advance, the incidence of a reversal of any kind in what they promised. It like saying “I promise [blank] unless of course [blank],” which is not a conviction, or a view, or a belief, or anything really but a pandering statement with a backdoor.
So we heard a non stop litany of Trump insults and accusations but the premise that this speech would be important and provide crucial decision making information on a candidate and got something else instead.
But that was not the real trick. So pay attention, and listen carefully, because this is the reason for this post:
In the days leading up to this, interspersed with ‘Clinton is coming’ hype we heard ‘Good News’. We heard a guy nobody knows from Indiana say he saw help wanted signs displayed on main street everyplace. We heard positive economic growth indicatiors. I heard a reporters say housing starts are up, Durable goods sales are up, even that the real estate market has not been this strong since 2004. Everywhere the hypnotists were hard at work making you believe things are good and recovery is going on and you should have confidence because the worst is not ahead and yet nothing has changed in the world economy at large. Greece, Italy, Venezuela, Germany, Brazil, Austria, China, Japan, ALL THESE COUNTRIES ARE BROKE AND HAVE IMPLOADING ECONOMIES and the figures cited in the US were all SHORT TERM SNAPSHOTS of something positive, anything to inflate this list that was peddled out as proof we are fine and dandy.
Why now?
Think about who tunes in whenever Clinton spends media dollars this wildly. The most uninformed, poor, disenfranchised, depressed… I'm sorry but these people are downright mental retards and represent the laziest most asleep populace you can imagine because they know NOTHING of real world events. They don’t see patterns, they are the folks would fall for this shell game EVERYTIME and rightfully suffer for their lack of personal due diligence. They aren’t busy doing anything but struggling and they want relief and a promise of it rallies them. It is these same people that carry the message things are getting better and need to keep getting better and Clinton is their champion. Just look at all the evidence!
This speech gave those people ammunition to hurl and ‘facts’ to repeat but really all they got was a better lock on their cell.
Look around you if I am describing you. Is YOUR life better? Did YOU get a raise, or buy a new car, or get offered a promotion? Did YOU buy a new house with anything but credit? Did YOU have more money to spend this week or month or year? Did your taxes go down or your regulations decrease. Were you spied on less, was anyone prosecuted? Yeah, the Payday Loan Company took some heat but did they change?
NO. And you are still making payments to them. Aren’t you? And why? Because you don’t have credit, DO YOU?
Look, I know not everyone is this bad off but many are and these are the same people that want Clinton in office and in many cases they are also the people that think Bernie is going to give them a handout but this is not going to happen.
This is not a Trump endorsement. He has his issues but if you listen to his foreign policy speech it is UNDERSTANDABLE and you can find it in another post I made. And on a great many issues we know what drives him and what outcomes he wants but Clinton is just reacting.
PROBLEM REACTION SOLUTION
This is the name of the con game.
Let me tell you when you are playing into it.
First, YOU ARE SAFE. You don’t need to be safer. If you need to be protected from anything it’s from this con game.
How did this all end? Clinton warned everything will tank if Trump is elected. You have heard this and seen this happen every election year since 1984 because THAT IS PLANNED EVERY TIME. And rest assured it will tank regardless of who is elected only if it is on Trumps watch he will own it and work to repair it. Clinton or Bernie will apologize and deflect and blame someone else and continue to roll out platitudes while its happening that reassure the herd of sick and broke that they made the right choice but it was just to hard to fix this time but change is coming. War will increase, corruption will flourish, economies will fail, employment will decrease, taxes and regulation and surveillance will skyrocket and we will still feel afraid.
Don’t wait for change. Be the change. Please.
