It can be hard to tell sometimes. I lean towards the opinion it is deliberately misleading but lets examine a reporters ‘report’ this morning on NPR and you tell me what you think.
So I am listening to some news about Hillary Clinton who released her taxes recently, (probably because Trump did not and no other reason). The announcer says the Clintons made 10.6 MILLION last year. He goes on to deliver a scripted debate with a second reporter on air in which they ask each other how honest it is that Hillary tries to come off as having some understanding of the plight of the middle class and working class of people whose votes she panders to. It is stated that 10.6 MILLION dollars puts her in the TOP TENTH OF ONE PERCENT of earners in the US. Ok, heard that. But then, and here's where you need to pay attention, he stated that her 10.6 MILLION dollar a year income is only about TEN TIMES the national household median income so maybe shes not THAT rich.
WAIT WHAT?!? Yes, our reporter clearly cannot do simple division.
FIRST - The median household income is presently $51,000
SECOND – That is TWO HUNDRED AND SEVEN TIMES THE MEDIAN HOUSEHOLD INCOME, not ten
(you abject fool!)
You know, its news like this that pains me. People listen quick and take away garbage and then repeat it like robots then march out and defend Hillary Clinton to me. And there is nothing I can say to people like this because their total lack of critical thinking ability makes any offering of actual facts a waste of time. One of the drones actually told me recently I listen to ‘fake news’.
Ok smarty pants, if I didn’t care about you at all I’d let you have the point and go bang my head on the nearest wall, but I do, so consider that this 10.6 MILLION the Clintons made is down from ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SEVEN MILLION the year prior which is THREE THOUSAND AND SEVENTY EIGHT TIMES THE MEDIAN HOUSEHOLD INCOME IN THE US!!!
Is she rich? [cough] YEAH!
They gave 10% to charity though so I suppose that’s a good thing, proves she ‘cares’ , Until you drill down of course and learn (that’s a thing some people do you know) that the charity was her own foundation. So this woman has the gall, the audacity, the sheer chutzpah to boast, as evidence of her genuine concern for you, that she gives generously to ‘charity’ when what she actually did was take a tax deduction for paying herself!
And the idea that she is going to take care of you as president in contrast to Trump who will only do things that benefit the richest Americans… A thinking person is apt to ponder why such a greedy, obscenely wealthy, compulsive LIAR like her would not vote for him instead of competing for the office.
But then Hillary supporters don’t do much thinking I guess. It doesn’t matter. The hag is suffering from so many ailments she is likely to drop dead before the election anyhow.
The last jobs she will create will be given to the idiots who erect statues and memorials to their fallen champion of the people [cough] I mean idiots.
