I admit, even I was perplexed a bit by how fast this sudden change happened. It is truly hard to fathom a situation in which the very purpose of a hospital can be flipped upside down right before our eyes without anyone inside breaking ranks, but if you are admitted into a hospital today and labeled as a covid case for any reason, instead of providing treatments that are likely to restore you to health, you will instead either be turned away until your issues become life threatening or given a bed and a serious of treatments that will quickly and effectively KILL you!

An internal email from the VA hospital system shows how management controls their staff. This is one of many, telling doctors they will be monitored if they veer away from Covid treatment protocol. And by monitored that means potentially being brought before a medical review board and put in the position of defending their license to practice.
Another aspect that contributes to this situation comes from the Insurance industry. Hospitals utilize and manage financial planning with various insurance platforms and the insurance companies that provide them will only pay for certain protocols. So if a doctor strays from the treatments approved by an insurance company he is as good as fired, because anything outside those parameters that must be paid for out of pocket by the patient, which is not as reliable when it comes to payments as insurance company reimbursements. Every time a bill is refused by insurance the hospital assumes it will not get paid and sets up rules based upon this that enforce what a doctor is allowed to do.
