A couple days ago I came across Lee Camp, some comedian who saw the opening and seized the day with a web show called 'Redacted Tonight'. Now, it's a bit hit or miss in the comedy. Not quite as reliable as the man, the myth, the legend for seeing things critically and clearly (the climate change folks have him bamboozled) but even so, he's doing the Daily Show legacy justice I think and follows the old format with hilarious on the scene commentary by unique 'crack team' correspondents and mock bureau chiefs.
One thing in particular that caught my eye is how he hijacked the RT logo that spins in the lower left corner of his clips and how that managed to trigger, not the legions of AI cyber lawyers that enforce and actively banish copyright infringement violators, but the YouTube sheeple baby monitor that displays a fact check (culled from the reigning champion of garbage research, Wikipedia) informing viewers that RT is funded in whole or in part by the Russian Government! ROFL! You can't make this shyte up… but that’s not stopping Lee Camp is giving it his best effort.
Anyhow, if you used to watch the Daily Show and still occasionally feel pangs of regret 'Redacted Tonight' may somewhat soothe your broken heart. Enjoy…
