Most people tend to assume I am a conservative politically based on some stereotypical demographics about what I espouse as beliefs but they could not be more wrong. I have no political position, I pay very scant attention to anything but local election cycles since I am a firm believer that as a country we have no input into the larger state and federal processes except for the fact that most people can be gaslighted enough to show up at a polling place and provide fodder for the circus show like football fans, unaware or in denial about the impact a stadium of fans has on the actual games outcome. I have better things to do, like operate on the level I can make an impact. I make my stand in private dealings and public places I need to do business in. I protest just about everything I see these days because so much of what is going on is just beyond outrageous. It has never been that way before and despite actively trying to find one I have yet to see any reasonable argument for any of it. Truth by consensus is not a viable system and even less so today because actual truth is censored and only propaganda flourishes, rampantly proliferating entirely unchecked.

I reluctantly sat through a long video the other day of a guy who appealed to his audience and posed this question. I am not posting the link because I felt it was dull and devoid of compelling information, other than his anecdotal experiences trying to deprogram others, but I did leave the following comment:
Asking people what they would need to hear is a very reasonable question, however you first need to be posing the question to people who are open to changing their mind. I have tried this debate tactic and by and large anyone able to formulate an answer basically needs to hear the TV say "experts" agree.
Experts rarely agree on anything whether the discussion involves black holes or belly fat. The "experts you tend to see seem to be more motivated by grandiosely joining one side or another, predictably choosing the side with the most similar conclusions. Moreover, the people you are asking can't fathom the thought that these experts on center stage day after day are con men and profiteers, so you get preemptively shut down. Even if it did boil down to a specific thing they need to hear its hard to present the widely censored information that contradicts the predominant narrative because the narrative is so loud and overbearing. Most times if a thing doesn't get bludgeoned into these peoples heads every minute for an entire week they miss it entirely and, if the fact you are waiting to reveal to them is such a critical game changer, they think the reason they missed it is because its somehow not credible or newsworthy. This is the sole source of their convictions. "But people are dying…" Sigh, yeah, but everyone dies eventually. They don't question the possibility they die for any other reason than covid now.
I prefer to directly attack peoples basic insecurities because in my opinion this is where the logic fails most visibly and they won't see that coming. I ask them what makes a person special enough to have the ability to become a doctor or lawyer or other such "expert"? Because clearly its not an ability they think they have and they are sure its not an ability you posses or you would have done it. Since you didn't, you argue from an intellectually weak position by default which makes their first move an attack on you rather than the debate you are trying to have. (and if you happen to actually be a doctor and dare to argue THEIR superior layman beliefs with regard to health and wellness then they just assume you are a bad one because you dissent) It is a laughable logical fallacy they are mentally trapped in.
At the heart of this problem is a basic subservient and submissive, low self esteem character trait which allows this covid hysteria to proliferate, because the mental laziness that goes along with this state of mind gives people license to delegate the work of figuring out any problem for themselves to anyone willing to take that burden off their hands. The idea that they are unqualified to have an opinion that can be derived from simply doing a bit of homework and trusting in their ability to do that with an adequate degree of competence is the real obstacle here. These people are the real danger here if they have any capacity at all to impact your daily routines. They are lazy and gullible and stubbornly believe they are well informed solely because passive absorption of propaganda is a skill they can ace. The con men are aware of this which is why these "developing stories" and their companion reactive measures get rolled out incrementally, like a death sentence executed by an infinite number of paper cuts. If the con artists behind this scam walked up to the same idiot with a cage in tow, bashed them over the head with a club and threw them into it they would object but instead they sell them the cage, encourage them to bow down and take the beating by telling them it will save lives. Up selling cages with a moral high ground sells a LOT of cages.
My simple point here is you cant cure alcoholism with more booze anymore than you can teach a goat algebra so more information rarely resolves this stonewalling habit sheeple stubbornly and proudly exhibit. Its all about the food trough and little else.
